Overall Flow of Exam Booking

The Specified Skilled Worker Level 2 Construction exam is conducted by JAC (Japan Association for Construction Skill Training). Booking is completed entirely online.

The overall flow consists of the following 4 steps:

  1. Register with JAC Members
  2. Select the Exam
  3. Choose the Date and Venue
  4. Check the Exam Ticket

Step 1: Register with JAC Members

If you do not yet have a JAC Members account, you must register first.

If you already have an account, please proceed to Step 2.

Step 2: Select the Exam

  1. Log in to JAC Members (https://jac-skill.or.jp/)
  2. Select "Exam Booking" from the menu
  3. Select "Specified Skilled Worker Level 2 Evaluation Exam (Construction)"
  4. Choose the category you wish to take
    • Civil Engineering
    • Architecture
    • Lifelines and Facilities

Step 3: Choose the Date and Venue

  1. Select your preferred exam date from the calendar
  2. Select your preferred exam venue
  3. Check the time slots for the theoretical and practical exams
  4. Press the "Confirm Booking" button

Exam venues are CBT test centers located nationwide. Choose a venue close to your home or workplace.

Step 4: Check the Exam Ticket

Once the booking is complete, an Exam Ticket will be displayed on your JAC Members My Page.

Points to check:

  • Does the Name match your residence card?
  • Are the Exam Date/Time and Venue correct?
  • Is the Category (Civil Engineering, Architecture, Lifelines) correct?

Be sure to either print the exam ticket or ensure you can display it on your smartphone.

Points Where People Often Fail

Photo Upload Error

The photo must be in JPEG format and the file size must be 2MB or less. A white background is recommended. Photos taken directly with a smartphone may sometimes exceed the size limit.

Venues in Tokyo and Osaka are particularly popular and can become fully booked within a few days of release. Once the exam schedule is published, book your spot as early as possible.

Booking Changes up to 7 Days Before

Changes or cancellations after booking are possible up to 7 days before the exam date. No changes can be made after that.

Q. Is there a fee for booking?

The exam fee is paid at the time of booking. Please check the official JAC website for the latest price information. Payment methods include credit card or convenience store payment.

Q. Can I take the theoretical and practical exams on different days?

The theoretical exam and practical exam are taken on the same day. They cannot be split into different days.

Q. When is the exam schedule released?

The exam schedule is released periodically on the official JAC website. Notifications will also be sent to the email address registered with JAC Members as soon as the next exam schedule is determined.
